Transformational Bursaries

Denstone College exists due to the generous gifts of our benefactors, inspired by founder Nathanial Woodard "to provide an education based on sound principle and knowledge". This Philanthropic nature spans 150 years, and gifts from Old Denstonians, parents, staff and friends of Denstone have enabled children from all backgrounds to benefit from a Denstone College education. The College remains committed to providing financial aid, in the form of bursaries, to any child with potential, that does not have the financial means. Our means-tested bursaries provide transformative opportunities for young people and we believe that the whole College benefits from a pupil community that is representative of our society.

Organ Fund

Our Chapel is at the heart of Denstone College. Unfortunately, the organ is now in desperate need of significant repairs. Despite having a temporary measure in situ, it is essential that we return the organ to its former glory. There are a number of ways to get involved, including sponsoring an organ stop! There are 75 available to sponsor, and each donor will be recognised on an exclusive plaque in the ante-chapel. It is possible to have a name other than yours, for example, a friend or loved one, please e-mail choran@denstonecollege.net with details. In addition to this, all donors are invited to a recital of the new organ when work is complete, followed by a drinks reception with Head, Lotte Tulloch. Due to the generosity of our lead donor, every pound will be matched of the first £10,000 raised!
Bronze Level Sponsorship at £150 per stop (50 stops available)
Silver Level Sponsorship at £500 per stop (20 stop available)
Gold Level Sponsorship at £1000 per stop (5 stops available)

Denstone Green

Our mission to Net Zero has already begun. The Prep is home to a passionate eco committee, made of pupils from ages 4-12 that meet regularly to discuss ways to reduce their carbon footprint, and explore ideas to implement throughout their school. A deep understanding of environmental science is built into the curriculum, with even our youngest pupils understanding and championing the importance of our impact on the environment. Over the next twelve months we plan to accelerate our sustainability plans, looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint, minimise our own impact on the environment, and educate pupils on why it's more important now than ever to live and work in the most sustainable way. At the end of every year donors to this important fund will receive an impact report detailing key initiatives and some of the ways in which we are hitting our green targets.

Greatest Need

Whilst we are very grateful for gifts for a specific purpose, it is particularly helpful to the College to receive unrestricted donations. These donations are applied where the need is greatest. Unrestricted gifts allow the College the greatest level of flexibility to allocating funds to different projects in both the prep and senior schools.
